The Education Act Research Center of Peking University(PU), the Constitution and Administrative Law Research Center of PU successfully held the seminar on “Legal Protection of Student Rights” in April 23th, 2016.

There were leaders and experts from about 40 offices and schools all around China, including National People’s Congress, Ministry of Education, courts, resident administrative department for education, universities and so on. They focused on the problems in student rights and exchanged extensive views about its legal protection. Professor Meng Hongzhi was invited to attend the meeting, and represented as the host and made a statement of the first academic unit.

The seminar was divided into two theme-reporting units and four academic units. Professor Zhan Zhongle, who is the director of The Education Act Research Center of PU, hosted the opening ceremony of the meeting. Professor Jiang Mingan, also known as the director of the Constitution and Administrative Law Research Center of PU, and Professor Zhang Shouwen, dean of law school of PU, and Professor Luo Haocai also addressed.
