In the morning of June 1, 2016, professor Liuyanhong, the Yangtze River scholar Professors，the Ten Outstanding Youth jurists，the dean of the law school of Southeast University and the doctoral tutor, was invited by the Supreme People's Procuratorate to make a theme report about criminal law applicable methods.

Professor Liu firstly from the legal principle made the criticism of judicial practice that the defendant is easy to enter into the crime and clarified the necessity and importance of the application of the law of the criminal law. Subsequently, Professor Liu pointed out that the application of the criminal law should be based on the principle of a legally prescribed punishment, rather than the concept of sin.

In this lecture, professor Liu made the presentation about method of application of criminal law, the idea of application methods of criminal law and expansion of criminal law applicable methods. The lectures had a guiding role on the theory of criminal law and the rethinking about the research methods, which had the enlightening meaning of right application of the criminal justice. The report played a positive role on promoting the theory of prosecutors at all levels of staff learning, enhancing the practice level of the prosecutors and police officers and understanding the concept and judgment of the criminal law application. Finally participants felt very rewarding.
