The first research square of a law-based government of China Law Society, also known as “High-end Forum about Chinese Law-based Government”, held its opening ceremony from Jun 25th to 26th. The SEU Law School was successfully chosen to be one of the five council members of the research square. Professor Ma Huaide, who is the director of China Administrative Law Society as well as the vice-president of China University of Political science and Law (CUPL), became the director of the research square. Professor Zhou Youyong from our law school served as the assistant director, while other teachers including Professor Meng Hongzhi, associate Professor Gu Dasong, associate Professor Li Yuxing, Teacher Xiong Zhanglin etc., acted as members of the council.
It is reported that the establishment of the research square was a key action for China Law Society to carry out “The Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of New Think-tank with Chinese Characteristics”, which aimed to innovate together by means of linking research society to substantive institute. The China Law Society will lay stress on the research of key subject and high-end forum, and build a highest level think-tank in the area.
