From April 29 to 30, The 11th Cross-Strait Young and Middle-Aged Criminal Scholars Senior Forum, which was undertook by Law School of Yunnan University (YNU), was held in Tengchong, Yunnan Province. There were more than 60 law experts attending the forum, including cross-strait law professors and local legal practitioners.
The topic of this’s year’s forum is about “Bribery Crime”, which was divided into four units.
The first unit was “Legislative Structure of Bribery Crime”, hosted by Professor Liu Mingxiang from Renmin University of China (RUC), reported by Professor Wu Yanzong from Taiwan Central Police University and Professor Qian Xiaoping from Southeast University, and commented by Professor Qian Yeliu from Suzhou University and Professor Lin Yuxiong from Taiwan University (NTU);
The second unit was about “Issues Related to Crimes of Taking Bribes”, which was hosted by Professor Chen Ziping from University of Kaohsiung, reported by Professor Wang Xiaowen from Cheng Kung University and Professor Fu Liqing from RUC, commented by Professor Chen Xingliang and associate Professor Li Shengjie from Taiwan's Chengchi University (NCCU);
The third unit focused on “Issues Related to Crimes of Offering Bribes”. It was hosted by Professor Zhang Xu from Jilin University, reported by associate Professor Xu Hengda from NCCU and associate Professor Che Hao from Peking University, and commented by associate Professor Wang Zhengxun from Northwest University of Political Science and Law and associate Professor Xie Yuwei from NTU;
The last unit was “Special Forms of Bribery Crimes”, hosted by Professor Lin Yuxiong, reported by assistant Professor Wang Yuquan from Shih Hsin University and Ph. D Zhao Chunyu from NYU, and commented by Professor Liu Mingxiang and assistant Professor Lian Mengqi from Taiwan Tsing Hua University.
During the free discussion, cross-strait criminal scholars exchanged views on some doubtful and difficult issues from the perspective of Comparative Criminal Law, International Criminal Law and Criminology. Professor Ouyang Benqi also deeply analyzed some modification about bribery crimes in “The Ninth Amendments to Criminal Law”, which was highly appreciated by participating experts.
