Professor Liu Yanhong was invited to attend The 14th Sino-Korea Seminar on Criminal Law

The 14th Sino-Korea Seminar on Criminal Law, which was sponsored by Chinese Society of Criminal Law, Korean Society of Comparative Criminal Law and Korean Institute of Criminal Policy, and undertook by The Law and Policy Research Institute of Cheju National University and South Korean Police Department, was held successfully in Cheju do, South Korea. More than 70 scholars from universities, research institutes and judicial agencies from South Korea and China participated in the meeting. The Chinese delegation was consisted of over ten representatives, including Professor Liu Yanhong, the dean of Law School of SEU. Professor Zhao Bingzhi from Beijing Normal University, who is also the chairman of Chinese Society of Criminal Law served as the head of Chinese delegation.

The seminar focused on “Comparative Study of Criminal Responsibility and Crime Quantity”. The opening ceremony was held by Mr. Jin Zhenhuan, the dean of Korean Institute of Criminal Policy and Professor Cui Xiyi, the president of Korean Society of Comparative Criminal Law. Mr. Jin Zhenhuan, Professor Cui Xiyi and Professor Zhao Bingzhi all fully affirmed the academic exchange between South Korea and China had an important significance in developing criminal theory and constructing criminal legality. Dean Liu Yanhong made a speech on “the Criminal Responsibility of Unit Crime”.
