On the morning of September 25, 2016, Professor Liu Yanhong, Dean of law school of Southeast University, was invited to make a lecture entitled the development direction of Chinese criminal law on the third floor of the Law School of Henan University. Vice president Cai Jun served as host and a lot of teachers and students arrived at the scene to listen the speech.

    Professor Liu Yanhong first introduced the three development direction of criminal law------criminal legislation, criminal hermeneutics and criminal teaching, then pointed out that their advantages and disadvantages of the three development direction, and put forward the research of criminal law in our country should be based on the interpretation of criminal law for the future of China's criminal law development direction.

    Professor Liu Yanhong through the combination of examples, compared with the traditional and modern criminal law and other methods, so that the audience deeply understand the meaning and characteristics of the criminal law. In the interactive session, the audience actively asked questions about the relationship between substantive interpretation and reasonable explanation. Professor Liu Yanhong patiently answered questions for everyone.
