On October 28 of 2016, Professor Geraint Howells, Dean of City University of Hong Kong, gave the lecture at the Law School in Jiulonghu campus. This lecture was titled 'Product liability on comparative perspective'. The lecture was the fifth lecture of the 20th anniversary of the restoration of the law of Southeast University and the 10th anniversary forum. The speech was chaired by Prof. Dai Qingkang, the associate Professor. Associate professor Liu Lu and associate professor Yi Bo attended the meeting.

From the perspective of comparative law, professor He Jialun explained the subject of product liability, the definition of product concept, the identification of defects, the cognizance of damage, the principle of responsibility, causality and so on. Professor He Jialun compared the different provisions of the UK, EU and US law and judicial precedents, and analyzed the reasons why the EU law can be successfully adopted and used by many countries.

In the next part of the question, students enthusiastically asked questions and spoke freely. Professor He Jialun are frank and humorous to answer problems one by one which caused bursts of applause on site.
