Professor Shuichiro Hoshi and associate Professor Gu Dandan from Tokyo Metropolitan University has visited our law school in November 4th, 2016 and made an excellent speech about “How to Apply for Tokyo Metropolitan University”. After the speech, Professor Shuichiro Hoshi and associate Professor Gu Dandan communicated with some of our teachers, and made an elementary programme about the exchange and cooperation between two schools. Dean Liu Yanhong, associate dean Gao Ge, associate dean Ouyang Benqi, associate Li Yuxing, associate Professor Liu Jianli, associate Professor Liu Mingquan and so on have attended the speech.
The speech was hosted by Professor Ouyang Benqi. Firstly he made an brief introduction of the reasons that Professor Shuichiro Hoshi came for and what his speech was about. Then associate Professor Gu Dandan actively present Tokyo Metropolitan University in detail to teachers and students. Tokyo Metropolitan University has a predominant geological location and good research environment. It is famous for its outstanding graduates from Law and Politic subjects, the spirit of which are small but excellent. Professor Maeda Masahide, who is a prominent criminal law scholar in Japan, had been teaching there for over forty years. Professor Zhang Mingkai has visited there as well. Later on, associate Professor Gu Dandan showed her personal experience in Japan, and answered students’ questions about teachers, languages, fees and scholarships. The lecture has laid a foundation of the cooperation between Tokyo Metropolitan University and SEU in the future.
