Professor Meng Hongzhi was invited to attend the 12th international seminar on Sino-Japan Public Law

    The 12th international seminar on Sino-Japan Public Law was held in University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan in November 5th. The seminar focused on local autonomy and public administration. More than 40 scholars who work on Constitutional Law and Administrative Law from China and Japan attended the meeting. Professor Meng Hongzhi from our law school was also included.

    The seminar was divided into two units——“Basic Problems in Local Autonomy and Public Administration” and “Public Administration Issues in Modern Society & Okinawa”. Professor Meng, as Chinese spokesman made comments on the second unit, and proposed to systematically solve problems that were met in local autonomy and power lists from the perspective of perfection of local organic law, open government, administrative discretion standard ,administrative procedure and so on, which caused public concern and discussion. Multiple scholars who specialized in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law attended the conference and made a full-scale recitation of Japanese local autonomy and public administration system.
