Professor Wang Zejian, who is a famous civil jurist as well as an Honorary Professor of National Taiwan University(referred as NTU) has came to our school and gave a lecture named “Type Theory and Development of Unjust Enrichment——To Construct A Operable Normative Pattern” in the auditorium of Sipailou campus on November 12th, 2016. Professor Xiao Bing hosted the lecture, with all teachers and students from law school attending the lecture. There were even people from other schools and schoolfellows attracted by Professor Wang Zejian. Some of them came early and waited to see Professor Wang.
Professor Wang used to study with Professor Karl Larenz in German. He had served as the Grand Justice in Taiwan and used to teach in NTU. Professor Wang Zejian is always concerned about the development of the civil law in mainland, and contributes to the prosperity of civil law. His academic achievement was accepted by cross-strait jurisprudential circle, while himself was regarded as a civil law mogul.
Professor Wang started with the way of thinking of unjust enrichment and introduced the important position of unjust enrichment in civil law. Then it led to the subject of the lecture: “How to Make Unjust Enrichment An Operable Normative Pattern by The Subsumtion of Categorization”. Firstly Professor Wang briefly reviewed the history of unjust enrichment, then a typological analysis. Finally he concluded that an operable unjust enrichment law was of great significance to the development of civil law, which symbolized a perfect end for the lecture.
