On November 12th, 2016, the high-end forum on Independent Commission Against Corruption in Colleges and Universities was held in in Hefei, Anhui Province, which was sponsored by the Law and Innovation Center of Anhui University, the Research Center of rule of law and social security in Anhui, the law school of Anhui University and the People's Law magazine. The forum consists of the two topics---Corruption Prevention and Punishment of Colleges and Universities and Theory and Practice of Managing the school according to the law. Professor Liu Yanhong, our law school dean, was invited to the seminar.
In the topic discussion of Prevention and Punishment of Corruption in Colleges and Universities, Professor Liu Yanhong gave a keynote speech entitled China (Universities) Corruption Governance. The speech pointed out that China is in an important turning point and strategic opportunity of corruption control since the modern transformation, and the transformation of anti-corruption legislation from formal governance to substantive governance is the key to solve the Chinese-style corruption governance dilemma. On the other hand, Professor Liu Yanhong, from the point of view of comparative law, learned from South Korea Golden England Law, and put forward a series of preventive experience and punitive measures of constructive views about the issue of corruption in colleges and universities.
The high-end forums focused on comprehensively promoting the construction of the system of punishing and preventing corruption which embodies the characteristics of colleges and universities, advancing the construction of modern university system and enhancing the construction of clean and honest administration in colleges and universities. The research center anti-corruption rule of law in Southeast University is developing rapidly, and actively participate in the major academic research and exchange meeting to expand influence, and constantly contribute to the Chinese anti-corruption vision of the rule of law.
