Zoltán Záhonyi, the chairman of the Contracts Committees of FIDIC, visited our law school on March 24th, and held a lecture for law school students in the evening. The subject of the lecture was "the FIDIC conditions of Contract and Their Updates". The lecture was hosted and translated by professor Dai Qingkang.

    Firstly, professor Dai Qingkang expressed our welcome to Zoltán Záhonyi, on the behalf of all students and lawyers at present.

    Then, Zoltán Záhonyi started his lecture. He pointed out that FIDIC referred to International Federation of Consulting Engineers. It was established in 1913, and attracted members from more than 60 countries.

Zoltán Záhonyi also introduced related legal backgrounds of FIDIC contracts during 1999 in detailed.

    At last, Zoltán Záhonyi made a specular analysis of FIDIC contracts in2017, and compared it with which in 1999. There were some questions raised by teachers and students at present, focusing on the updates of the FIDIC contracts, and Zoltán Záhonyi answered them one by one with patience.

    Finally, the lecture ended in audiences' applauses.
