On the evening of April 23, 2017, Prof. Zhao Bingzhi, president of the China Criminal Law Research Association and dean of the Criminal Law Science Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, was invited to make a lecture in our school. The theme of this lecture is “Extradition Case of Huang Haiyong: the most complex case of Chinese extradition case . Professor Liu Yanhong, the dean of the law school presided over this speech.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Zhao Bingzhi started from the basic fact  and briefly introduced the basic fact of the case of Huang Haiyong and the basic proceedings in the process of extradition. Professor Zhao Bingzhi in summing up the experience of this case pointed out that it has to spare a lot of efforts on the cross-border cases of extradition. We should actively promote the reform of the death penalty and strictly adhere to the promulgation of the death penalty in the process of extradition. We should strengthen our own criminal rule of law and perfect the image of international criminal rule of law. Professor Zhao Bingzhi stressed that the success of Huang Haiyong's case is the result of the development of criminal law and the improvement of the human right in China. The case is of great significance. And it’s not only conducive to deepening the understanding and trust of the rule of law and the human right among countries, also good for the international community to understand the China 's criminal legal system and practice.

In the Q&A, the students enthusiastically asked relevant questions. Professor Zhao Bingzhi one by one gave the detailed answer, causing bursts of applause. Finally, Professor Liu Yanhong commented this lecture.
