On the afternoon of November 24, 2017, Sun Guangning, an associate professor at the Law School of Shandong University (Weihai), gave a wonderful lecture at the moot court.The theme of the lecture was what is the future of guiding cases?.  Professor Hu Zhaoyang of law school presided over this lecture and some teachers and students attended this lecture.

At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Sun pointed out the current situation of the system of the guiding cases : the application proportion of the guiding cases is very low. Then Mr. Sun has put forward his own view: first, increase the number of cases from the sources of guidance cases. Second, improve the quality of instructive cases. Third, reduce the quote threshold of the guiding cases. Finally, strengthen the system matching in judicial practice.

In the Q&A session, the students were eager to ask question. Mr. Sun answered these questions patiently and he pointed out the system of guiding cases will improve the realization of equal justice in China and the construction of the rule of law country with Chinese socialism.
