On the afternoon of  November 29 and 30, 2017, Professor Zhang Mingkai, the famous criminal law scientist, vice president of China Law Society and professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program of China, came to our law school to deliver academic speeches.

     Professor Zhang talked about what is law. He put out that law is justice,  that law is justice expressed by words,  and that law is justice found in living facts.

     Professor Zhang also addressed the speech of criminal class theory. He pointed out the differences between class theory and four-element theory and explained the application of criminal class theory in deciding criminal cases.

     Finally, students enthusiastically asked questions to Professor Zhang. He frankly and humorously answered these questions, and he encouraged students to be passionate in the course of ruling of law in China.
