The Second Session of BBS was Successfully Held by Professor Chen Weidong

On May 26, 2018, the second phase of the law BBS specially created by the law school of for teachers and students arrived as promised. The speaker of this lecture is professor Chen weidong, the director of the center for litigation system and judicial reform inRenmin University of China. Professor Liu Yan-hong, the dean of law school fromSoutheast university, presided over this lecture. In addition, Professor OuyangBenqi , Professor Li Yuxing, ProfessorYin Ji, Associate professor, Qian Xiaoping and so on attended the lecture. The whole lecturewas filled with enthusiasm and enthusiasm.

The theme of the lecture is "Relationship between the Criminal Procedure Law and State Supervision Law". Starting from the background of the reform of the supervision system, professor Chen discussed the investigation right of duty crime of procuratorial organs, and how to connect the supervision law with the criminal procedure law.

First of all, he believes that the duty of the supervisory committee is supervise the exercise of public power by public officials and investigate the violation of duty and the crime of duty, and the supervisory committee is a special national anti-corruption agency. Secondly, Professor Chen thinks that the first question on how to connect the State Supervision Law with the criminal procedure law is the function of the supervision committee and the second question is the evidence. By giving examples, professor Chen explained the two problems in depth. At the end of the lecture, professor Chen patiently answered the questions of the teachers, students and the practitioners who attended the lecture.
