On 21st of June, 2018, the Practice of Community Correctional Damage Restoration Theory Seminar was held by the Judicial Department of Jiangsu Province in Nantong City. Prof. Liu Yanhong and Prof. Li Chuan of our law school were invited to attend.
The seminar was the mid-term outcome of the “Research on the Theory and Practice Innovation of the Community Correctional Damage Restoration Theory in Jiangsu Province” jointly initiated by Dean, Professor Liu Yanhong and Director Zhu Jumin of the Provincial Correctional Bureau Bureau of Community Corrections of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice. The meeting took Nantong and Tongzhou experience as samples to comprehensively summarize and communicate the medium-term progress of the community-based correctional damage repair project.
Deputy Directors of the Community Corrections Bureau of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice, Shen Yebo, Director of the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Justice Liao Ping, Standing Committee of the Tongzhou District Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee Li Xueyi, and leaders of Nantong districts (municipalities) judicial administrative system community corrections, representative Prof. Liu Qiang of the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law attended the seminar. The meeting was chaired by Wang Qiang, deputy director of the Bureau of Justice of Nantong City.
Professor Liu Yanhong and Professor Li Chuan were hired as expert consultants on Comprehensive Governance - Damage Repair. They also delivered great speech on how to improve the Community Correction Damage Repair and recieved great gratitude.
