On August 21-23, 2018, the 2018 National Administrative Law Senior Teacher Training Class sponsored by Peking University Press was successfully held in Yantai, Shandong Province. More than 40 experts and scholars from colleges and universities across the country participated in the seminar. Professor Zhou Youyong, Professor Meng Hongzhi and Associate Professor Xiong Zhanglin were invited to attend the seminar. At the same time, Ph.D Liu Chun, Ph.D Yan Dong, Ph.D Li Rui and Ph.D Zhou Zhongmin, from our law school also attended this seminar.

    The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Meng Hongzhi. Professor Zhou Youyong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Yang Lifan of Peking University Press and Professor Zhang Zhiyuan from East China University of Political Science and Law delivered warm speeches.

    After the opening ceremony, Professor Zhou Youyong gave a wonderful special lecture to the participants under the theme of “Discretion in Administrative Law”.In addition, Professor Zhou shared his long-term research on the principles of administrative law and  administrative discretion, and shared his academic research experience with the participants. He believed that academic research should be based on the proper problems. Professor Zhou Youyong suggested that scholars should be committed to doing research, and strive to lead the way.
