On September 13, 2018, Prof. Dr. Dr. hcmult. Urs Kindhäuser, a famous criminal jurist from the Law School in BonnUniversity, was invited to visit our school. He held a lecture at the School of Law - Causalism and Teleology. The lecture was presided over by Professor Ouyang Benxi, associate dean of law school in Southeast University.

At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Dr. Dr. hcmult. Urs Kindhäuser pointed out that when discussing the concept of crime in the popular criminal textbooks in Germany, it is necessary to refer to the behavior in criminal law. In view of the discussion of behavior in criminal law, we must understand two important theories: causal behavior theory and purpose behavior theory. Professor Jin has fully explained the two theories. Finally, he led us to think about the theoretical and practical significance of the dispute between causalism and teleology.

In the nearly two-hour lecture,  Prof. Dr. Dr. hcmult. Urs Kindhäuser’s explanations and answers were both logical and humorous, providing students with a variety of ways of thinking. This lecture was successfully concluded.
