On September 14, 2018, Professor Han Dayuan, President of the Chinese Constitutional Research Association, gave a lecture at the moot court of Law School, entitled War, Peace and Constitutional Consensus, which was hosted by Professor Wang Jinyuan of law school.

First of all, Professor Han Dayuan pointed out that when human beings enter the risk society and the era of globalization, the concept, function, philosophical foundation and normative meaning of the constitution have changed. The function of the constitution should be how to prevent the outbreak of war, and then introduce the contents of this lecture: 1 The highest value of the Constitution is peace, 2 Defending peace is the supreme philosophical foundation of the Constitution, 3 Conflicts between war, peace and constitutional values, 4 How to use the Constitution to maintain peace. Finally, Professor Han Dayuan pointed out that only constitutional consensus can meet the challenges of human society.

Professor Han Dayuan conducted an in-depth analysis of the relationship between constitutional function, constitution, war and peace, and also aroused the academic interest of teachers and students.
