On November 1, 2018, the establishment meeting of the 2018-2022 Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Educationwas held in the conference building of the Beijing Convention Center. The purpose of this conference is to discuss the duties and functions of the new teaching guidance committee of the Ministry of Education in the professional construction and quality assurance, and to improve the quality of talent cultivation in universities. Professor Liu Yanhong, the dean of law school in Southeast University was invited to attend the meeting.

In the morning, Mr. Lin Yiqing, a member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, presided over this meeting and read the “Notice of the Ministry of Education on Establishing the 2018-2022 Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education”. And issued a letter of appointment for the chairman of the 2018-2022 Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education.

Then, Chen Baosheng, the Minister of Education, delivered a speech on the theme of Comprehensively grasping the requirements of the new era and comprehensively revitalizing undergraduate education. Subsequently, Wu Yan, Director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, presided over the meeting. Vice Minister of Education Lin Yuqing delivered an important speech.

The successful holding of this conference not only provided a good guide for the education and teaching in the country, but also provided an opportunity for the law school to cultivate excellent talents in education.
