From November 16 to 17, 2018, the 5th China-Europe International Criminal Law International Forum jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and East China University of Political Science and Law was held in Shanghai. There were 14 foreign guests and 83 experts and scholars from various Chinese institutions participated in the forum.
The theme of this forum is “New Challenges of Crime Governance and Formal Policies in the 21st Century in Transitional Countries”. There are four topics: Corruption crimes in the OBOR countries and the improvement of the legal system; Cybercrime, artificial intelligence criminal law and criminal policy research; Criminal policy research on terrorist crime governance in OBOR countries; Economic crime, economic criminal law principles and criminal policy improvement research in transition countries.
Associate Professor Qian Xiaoping participated in the discussion on the first topic of this meeting and gave a keynote speech on The Positioning and Choice of the Legal Interests of Bribery Crimes in China. The speech was positively evaluated by the experts and scholars attending the conference, and further strengthened the academic links between our school and domestic and foreign universities and research institutions.
