On November 16, 2018, the 9th WTO Law Symposium was held in Beijing. The conference was hosted by the China Society of International Economic Law and more than 20 experts and scholars attended the conference. Professor Xiao Bing from Law School of Southeast University was invited to attend the conference and gave a keynote speech.

The seminar focused on topics such as the “Reform Program of the WTO Mechanism”, “The Dilemma and Outlet of the WTO Dispute Settlement Mechanism”, and “Legal Issues on Sino-US Trade Friction”. Professor Xiao Bing made a keynote speech entitled The Referential Rationality of WTO Political Trade Disputes.

The successful holding of this seminar not only provides advice for the decision-making of experts in the practical department, but also provides a path for scholars to grasp the frontier issues. It is a two-way interaction between practice and academics, which is conducive to promoting the sound development of international economic law.
