On December 1, the academic symposium on New Constitutional Amendment and Constitutional Development cum the  2018 Annual Meeting of Constitutional Research Society of Shandong Law Society was held in Jinan, Shandong Province. The symposium was co-organized by the Constitutional Research Society of Shandong Law Society and Shandong Normal University. More than 30 scholars and experts were invited to symposium. Participants were from East China University of Political Science and Law, Southeast University, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong University, Shandong Normal University, Shandong University of Political Science and Law, Jinan University, Qingdao University, Shandong Jiaotong University, Shandong Institute of Business and Technology, Shandong Provincial People's Congress, Shandong Provincial Party School, Shandong Coal Bureau and other college law schools. Professor Liu Lianjun of our law school was invited to attend the symposium.

    The academic symposium on New Constitutional Amendment and Constitutional Development cum the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Constitutional Research Society of Shandong Law Society was divided into four modules, namely, Invited Expert Keynote Speech, Constitutional Law, Constitutional Development and Construction of the Rule of Law: Retrospect and Prospects”, “Constitutional Implementation, Constitutional Development and Rule of Law Construction”, “Inspection System, Constitutional Review and Rights Protection”. As a special invited expert, Professor Liu Lianjun of our law school delivered a keynote speech entitled The Organization of the Legislative Committee of the Supervisory Committee. In the 20-minute keynote speech, Professor Liu Lianjun mainly talked about three questions: why should the organization of the supervision committee be established, how the organization law of the supervisory committee should be formulated, and how the organization law of the supervisory committee should treat the office. Professor Liu’s point of view has been recognized by most of the participants.

    It expanded the scope of academic exchanges between our school and the law schools of Shandong Province and the relevant functional departments of Shandong that Professor Liu Lianjun being invited to participate in the conference. The influence of our law school in the field of constitutional and supervisory law has been further increased.
