Professor Chen Hongbing was appointed as director of Institute of Criminal Law of Southeast University

    In December 2018, Professor Chen Hongbing was appointed as Director of Institute of Criminal Law of Southeast University, according to the Notice of the Science and Technology Department of Southeast University.

  

    The Institute of Criminal Law of Southeast University was established in 2008. Professor Liu Yanhong was the Director of the Institute. Now it has formed a distinctive academic label of Southeast Criminal Law, with a team of outstanding core scientific researchers and innovation capabilities, as well as theoretical achievements. Professor Liu Yanhong recommended Professor Chen Hongbing to serve as Director.

  

    Professor Chen Hongbing is a doctoral tutor, deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Institute, and a high-yielding author of the China Law Innovation Network. He has long been engaged in criminal law interpretation studies. Professor Chen Hongbing has published more than 200 academic papers and 7 independent publications. He hosted the National Social Science Fund Project focusing on the criminal liability boundary and system construction of service providers and other provincial and ministerial level projects. It is believed that the appointment of Professor Chen Hongbing will promote the further development of criminal law research in our law school.
