On December 22, 2016, Nanjing University and Guangming Daily held the “2018 China Think Tank Governance and Ideological and Theoretical Communication Summit Forum” in Nanjing. The theme of this forum was “Construction of the Think Tank: Helping Reform, Openness, and High-Quality Development”. Leaders of the central and provincial governments and think tanks , leaders of scientific research management departments of universities, China Think Tank Index (CTTI) source think tanks, famous experts and scholars of think tanks, mainstream media and other representatives from all around country attended the forum.

During the forum, Li Gang, chief expert of the China Center for Think Tank Research and Evaluation at Nanjing University, announced the list of CTTI supplemented sources in 2018 and released the CTTI Think Tank Development Report (2018). The Research Center for Traffic Rule of Law and Development of Southeast University was evaluated by experts, and finally selected and ranked high among the 248 applicants. It became one of the 105 institutions to be added, and the only added think tank institution of Southeast University this year.

    The Research Center for Traffic Law and Development of Southeast University was approved by Southeast University in March 2012, and was awarded the “Key Research Base of Jiangsu Province Transportation Industry Policy and Regulations” by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation on July 2 of 2012. Since the establishment of the center, the members of the center have successively undertaken one National Social Science Major Project, one National Social Science Key Project and several National Social Science General Projects. The Research Center for Traffic Law and Development of Southeast University also actively participated in real traffic management and achieved significant results.

    The China Think Tank Index (CTTI) is a think tank data management and evaluation system developed by the China Think Tank Research and Evaluation Center of Nanjing University and the Guangming Daily Think Tank Research and Publishing Center.It is currently the largest think tank vertical search engine and data management platform with complete intellectual property rights in China.

The CTTI selection rules are strict. The MRPA evaluation index system is originally created, namely M (governance structure), R (think tank resources), P (think tank results), A (think tank activity) four primary indicators and 19 sub-indicators, which guarantees evaluation results scientific.
