On February 20, 2019, Associate Professor Gu Dasong, one of the third batch of training scholars of the Supreme People's Court, held the review meeting for “Collective Land Acquisition Compensation System Research” project in Beijing Supreme People's Court.

    In March 2018, Associate Professor Gu Dasong of our law school was approved as the training scholar of the Supreme People's Court. During the training period, under the leadership of the Political Department and the Research Office of the Supreme People's Court, especially with the support of the Third Circuit Court, Associate Professor Gu Dasong focused on the discussion of the relevant judicial documents of the Third Circuit and the demonstration of related cases. Associate Professor Gu conducted in-depth exchanges with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Higher People's Court of Jiangsu Province, and the Natural Resources Department of Jiangsu Province. He completed papers and reports titled as “Study on the reform of the collective land expropriation compensation system--an administrative trial perspective”, “the land acquisition approval or the land acquisition decision--and the People’s Republic of China” and so on.

    At the review meeting, Associate Professor Gu Dasong’s research report commentator was Professor Wang Cheng from Peking University Law School, Vice President of the Executive Yuan of the Supreme People’s Court and Professor Wang Jingbo, President of the China Society for the Rule of Law, and the Third Circuit Court. Judge Zhang Hua, who also participated in the final review meeting. 11 Supreme People's Court training scholars also attended the meeting such as Professor Luo Kun of Wuhan University Law School. The one-day review meeting was held by Jiang Kaibo, deputy director of the Supreme People's Court, and Guo Feng, deputy director of the Supreme People's Court. The Supreme People's Court Justice Hu Yunteng attended the meeting and gave a speech. More than 30 responsible comrades from the Ministry of Political Affairs, research institutes and training scholars, as well as review experts from well-known institutions such as Peking University and China University of Political Science and Law attended the meeting.

    The review meeting was a complete success. Associate Professor Gu Dasong's proposal on the reform of the collective land acquisition compensation system was approved by the experts and scholars.
