On March 4, 2019, the jurisprudence course of the 2018 postgraduate students of the law school in Southeast University was successfully completed, which marked the smooth advancement of the external professor system of the law school.
Professor Yang’s jurisprudence course has five lectures. The first lecture is the history and current situation of Chinese legal studies. He divided China's legal development into four stages, and detailed them one by one, and then selected the hot issues of ten legal fields since 1978 to share with the students. The second lecture is the object, nature of jurisprudence and the position of jurisprudence in the jurisprudence system. Professor Yang explained the above problems to the students in combination with the academic views of China and the West and his own ideas. The third lecture is the research method of jurisprudence. Professor Yang proposed that the fundamental research method of law is materialist dialectics. The specific research methods of law include: value analysis and empirical analysis. The fourth lecture is the theory of rights. Rights are a pluralistic concept, and there are three forms of rights: due rights, legal rights, and real rights. In addition, the society must adhere to the theory of rights. The fifth lecture is a review of the course papers. Professor Yang commented on the class papers of the students and invited some students to report their own course papers. Later, Professor Yang gave some suggestions to the students in the writing of the thesis, such as the writing scope of the thesis and the structure of the thesis.
The jurisprudence course has officially ended, and the students have gained a lot. Professor Yang’s jurisprudence course is a good start, and I believe that the external professor system of the law school will be more and more perfect.
