Associate Professor Yi Bo attended the 113th Annual Meeting of the American Society of International Law

The 113th (2019) annual meeting of the American Society of International Law (ASIL), which played an important role in the study of American international law and foreign relations, was held in Washington, DC, on March 27-30, 2019. Yi Bo, an Associate Professor who was visiting the National School of Law at the University of California, Los Angeles, was invited to participate in this annual meeting as a member of the American Society of International Law.


The theme of this year's conference was: International Law as an Instrument. The American Society of International Law invited international lawyers, policy makers and other experts from all sectors in the field to think about the role of international law in identifying and solving global problems. The annual meeting was divided into six unit discussion modules, namely: 1. Criminal law, human rights, immigration; 2. Dispute resolution; 3. Foreign relations and national security law; 4. Global community; 5. International business; 6. International peace and Safety. During the meeting, Associate Professor Yi Bo focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges with US scholars, lawyers and government officials on the issue of Sino-US trade wars, and exchanged ideas and views.
