On April 1, 2019, a seminar on “Supervisory Duties and Investigation Responsibilities of Supervisory Organs” sponsored by the National Center for Supervision and Anti-Corruption of China University of Political Science and Law and the Institute of Rule of Law of China University of Political Science and Law was held in Beijing. More than 40 experts and scholars attended the seminar from the Legal Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Justice, the Audit Commission, the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Tsinghua University, Peking University, Southeast University, and other academic and practical circles. Professor of Lifetime at the China University of Political Science and Law, Director of the National Center for Supervision and Anti-Corruption Research, Honorary President of the Institute of Administrative Law of the Chinese Law Society Professor Ying Songnian, Vice President of the China University of Political Science and Law, Professor Ma Huaide, President of the Administrative Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, Beijing Chaoyang Gao Dazhong, executive deputy secretary of the District Commission for Discipline Inspection and deputy director of the district supervisory committee, delivered speeches. Associate Professor of the Institute of Rule of Law, China University of Political Science and Law, Executive Director of the National Monitoring and Anti-Corruption Research Center, and the head of the research group, Cao Yu, introduced the preliminary research results of the research group.
The seminar was one of the activities of the first anniversary of the implementation of the “Supervisory Law” of the Institute of Rule of Law of China University of Political Science and Law. The seminar was mainly entrusted to the Beijing University of Political Science and Law by the Chaoyang District Commission for Discipline Inspection and Administration. The National Monitoring and Anti-Corruption Research Center and the Institute of Rule of Law Government of the China University of Political Science and Law had conducted the research on the subject of supervision and supervision of the discipline inspection and supervision organs and the duties of investigation of duties and violations. This was not only a summary of the supervision practice since the first anniversary of the implementation of the Supervision Law. The prospect was also a phased demonstration of the commissioned project of the Chaoyang District Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Experts and scholars attending the conference expressed their opinions on the topic of supervisory duties of supervisory organs and research on investigation duties. Professor Meng Hongzhi of our law school was invited to attend the seminar, and made a speech on the improvement and conception of the subject from the perspective of the nature of supervision, the position and management of the supervision, the monitoring of information disclosure and the supervision compensation. Professor Meng Hongzhi provided constructive opinions.
