On the morning of April 18, 2019, Professor Wang Weilin of the Law School of Ming Chuan University in Taiwan, China, was invited to visit our law school and gave a lecture with the theme of “Thematic Issues of Artificial Intelligence Law”. The moderator was Professor Wang Lusheng. Professor Wang Lusheng pointed out that this lecture was the first lecture to be held at the Judicial Big Data Base of our law school, which was of great significance. Associate Professor Xu Minchuan, Associate Professor Yang Jie and students participated in the lecture.
Professor Wang Weilin first started from the definition of artificial intelligence, expounding the relationship between artificial intelligence and big data and the importance of artificial intelligence.
Then, Professor Wang Weilin detailed on the application and impact of AI in the areas of judicial adjudication, civil liability attribution, accounting investigation and prevention, criminal investigation, labor substitution, financial technology supervision, intellectual property patent, and ethical privacy issues.
Finally, Professor Wang Lusheng commented on Professor Wang Weilin's wonderful lecture. He believed that Professor Wang Weilin's lecture was a comprehensive review of artificial intelligence, which involved a wide range and was worth learning. At the same time, Professor Wang Lusheng also introduced to Professor Wang Weilin the Warning System for Different Judgement on Similar Casesoriginally created by the Big Data Base of our law schoo. He hoped that our school and Ming Chuan University Law School would have further exchanges. At the same time, the students also had a heated discussion with Professor Wang Weilin on issues around the application, the subject qualification and and copyrightof artificial intelligence in the courts of Taiwan.
