On the occasion of the 117th Anniversary Celebration of Southeast University, the first doctoral academic salon of law school was successfully held on May 9, 2019. The theme of this salon is “Selection and Writing of Academic Papers”, which is taught by Prof. Ouyang Benxi, Prof. Yu Lishen, Prof. Liu Lianjun, Associate Professor Xiong Zhanglin, Associate Professor Shan Pingji and Associate Professor Liu Qichuan. They mainly conduct quality tests on papers submitted by doctoral students. More than 20 master's and doctoral students participated in the salon.

The salon is divided into two parts: “reporting” and “commenting”, and implementing “one article and one evaluation system”. The reporter first introduced the paper from the perspectives of the topic selection and the innovation point. After that, the instructors commented in turn and proposed the targeted paper improvement suggestions. The reporting process was wonderful and the academic atmosphere of the salon was strong. In addition, the tutors shared their writing experience with the students.

The academic salon provides a good communication platform for doctoral students, which is conducive to expanding their academic vision and inspiring their creative inspiration. The holding of the doctoral academic salon is also an important part of the talent training work of our school, and plays a positive role in improving the overall scientific research level of doctoral students.
