From June 13 to 16, 2019, the 2019 World Transport Convention (WTC) was held at the Beijing National Convention Center. The conference was co-sponsored by the China Association of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The China Highway Society hosted the conference. More than 100 companies, universities, research institutes and organizations from home and abroad, and more than 7,000 representatives attended the conference. Associate Professor Yang Jie from Southeast University Law School was invited to participate in this conference.
The theme of this conference was “Intelligence Green Leading the Future of Transportation”. It highlighted the latest scientific and technological achievements in the world of transportation in terms of the two key words of “intelligence” and “green” in the field of transportation. The conference consisted of 60 theme forums, 259 communication units, 240 poster papers, and 1472 academic reports. The article “Characteristics of drunk driving behavior based on data mining of criminal judgment documents”written by Associate Professor Yang Jie and student Fan Jie was included in the poster presentation unit.
Based on nearly 20,000 verdicts drunken dangerous driving crimes, the paper extracted the characteristics of drunk driving behavior, and explored the correlation characteristics between people, vehicles, roads and environmental characteristics involved in drunk driving behavior, which provided perfect suggests for prevention and control of drunk driving safety risks in China. The research was based on the legal data big platform and artificial intelligence platform data resources of our institute. It was the first attempt to apply judicial big data to traffic safety management. The team would deepen the empirical research method of “traffic big data” based on the judgment documents, and further provide suggestions for China's traffic safety governance.
