On June 15, 2019, the Symposium on Commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the May Fourth Constitution and the Innovation and Development of the People's Congress System was held in Shandong University (Weihai). More than 40 experts and scholars from more than 20 organizationsattended the meeting, including experts and scholarsfrom the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (National School of Administration), the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Central University for Nationalities, Southeast University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shandong University, Shandong Agricultural University, Shandong University of Political Science and Law, Shandong Institute of Business and Technology, including Shandong Administration College, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Qingdao University, Yantai University and Law Magazine magazine.


The seminar featuredthree units--keynote speeches unit, special discussions (1) “Review and Prospect of the 65th Anniversary of the Constitution of the May Fourth Movement and the People's Congress System”, and the special discussion (2) “Local Governance and the Development of the People's Congress System”. High-end forum on the new public law system and theoretical innovation was heldsimultaneously.


Professor Meng Hongzhi from Southeast University Law School was invited to attend the conference and hosted the first unit. Chen Hui, a doctoral student, also participated in this academic conference.
