Professor Liu Yanhong from Law School was Invited to Teach at the Procuratorate of Lianyungang City

In order to improve the city's procuratorate police capacity and level, and promote the high quality of judicial handling, on the morning of June 28, the Procuratorate of Lianyungang City held a lecture in 2019, and Liu Yanhong, dean of Southeast University Law School, was invited to give lectures. Song Xianglin, secretary of the party group and procurator of the city, led the city's procuratorate to participate in the lecture. The lecture was hosted by Zhou Xiaochun, director of the political department. The main venue was located in the lecture hall on the first floor of the city hall. Each county and district institute set up a sub-meeting venue to watch the course through video conferences.

For a long time, Professor Liu has been devoted herself to the theory of criminal establishment and the study of criminal law interpretation. Many of her essays written and published have greatly enriched the construction of legal theory in China and achieved good academic reputation and social effects.

In today's lectures, Professor Liu started from three aspects: What is the criminal law and moderation, Why should we persist in moderation and How to achieve the criminal law and moderation. This lecture is very instructive, and let the police officers benefit a lot.

Director Zhou Xiaochun gave a high evaluation to the lecture, and hoped that everyone must combine today's lectures and closely contact with the actual work, and transform the judicial concept of criminal law and moderation taught by Professor Liu into a new kinetic energy to promote the high quality of judicial handling, and improve the quality of case handling, and achieve a benign unity of legal effects, political effects and social effects.
