From June 28th to July 2nd, 2019, Professor Chen Hongbing from the Law School was invited to give a lecture in Jingmen City, Hubei Province. The lectures were entitled: Basic Concepts of Criminal Law Interpretation and Applicability of Crimes Related to Evil Crimes, The Theory and Practice of Duty Crimes.
On the morning of June 28th, the Jingmen City Procuratorate held a lecture and invited Professor Chen Hongbing to teach the Basic Concept of Criminal Law Interpretation. All the police officers of the Jingmen City Procuratorate participated in the concert, and all the grassroots colleges watched the video simultaneously. Professor Chen Hongbing's words are easy to understand and humorous. They have carried out professional and in-depth lectures on six aspects: the concept of justice, the legality of crimes, the objective interpretation, the application of the principle of the defendant, the explanation of the reasons and the interpretation of the rules. In the classroom, the police officers actively interacted with Professor Chen.
On the afternoon of July 1, the Disciplinary Committee of Shayang County held a business training class and invited Professor Chen Hongbing to conduct special training on duty crimes. With the title of Theory and Practice of Duty Crimes, Chen Hongbing combined legal provisions, judicial interpretations and typical cases to explain practical issues in detail and answered the students' confusion in practical work. More than 100 people participated in the training.
On the evening of July 1, the Public Security Bureau of Shayang County held the second issue of the 2019 Special Lecture on Eliminating Evil and Deficiency. Professor Chen Hongbing was invited to give lectures to the police. Professor Chen Hongbing started from the common types of crimes in black and evil cases, and brought in-depth explanations for everyone. Through a series of case studies, the police have a deeper understanding of the investigation of black and evil cases.
On the morning of July 2, Professor Chen Hongbing was invited to give lectures on “Applicability of Crimes Related to Evil Crimes” to the political and legal police in Dongbao District, Jingmen City. More than 70 people attended the lecture. Professor Chen explained the specific cases to let everyone know more about forced trading crimes, intentional assault crimes, illegal detention, and extortion. Professor Chen’s lectures have clear viewpoints and clear themes,. The lectures have a guiding role in the work of the police officers.
As a famous national scholar who went out from Jingmen, Hubei Province, Professor Chen Hongbing gave lectures to many units in his hometown. He mainly lectured on criminal law theory and closely integrated with the practical cases to answer questions.
