On July 19, 2019, the National Security Law Professional Construction Practice Seminar hosted by the School of International Relations was held in Beijing. More than 30 representatives from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Nanjing University, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Southeast University attended the meeting. Teacher Ye Quan of the  Law School was invited to attend the meeting.

The conference mainly consisted of two units: “Legal practice and new development of higher educationunder the overall national security concept” and “Study on the construction of national security law.” Participants mainly discussed the following issues: training programs, curriculum, textbook construction, scientific research, and personnel training of national security law majors. In the second unit, Teacher Ye Quan introduced the experience of our school in combination with the development of interdisciplinary subjects in the school's dominant disciplines, and had a lively exchange with the delegates.

This meeting not only showed the results of the interdisciplinary development of our school to the academic circles, but also strengthened the connection between the international law majors of our school and other schools.
