On October 20th, the seminar on Theory and Practice of the New Era of Civil Prosecutions sponsored by Southeast University Law School and Southeast University Civil Procuratorate Research Center was held at Southeast University.
This seminar is based on the practice of civil procuratorial work and discusses the major theoretical and practical development issues of civil procuratorial investigation in the new era. Wang Li, deputy procurator general and member of the procuratorial committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate, Li Yusheng, vice president of Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court, member of the Judicial Committee, Ren Lijian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Chinese Law Society Vice President, Li Hao, Professor of Nanjing Normal University Law School, Wu Yingzi, Professor of Nanjing University Law School, and Army Officer of the Civil Procuratorate of Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate, etc., more than 60 experts and scholars from universities, institutions, the press, and law firms. People attended the seminar.
The first unit of the conference was the launch of the civil prosecution research base and the appointment ceremony of the base researchers. Hosted by Mao Huixi, secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University Law School. The Institute of Procuratorial Theory of the Supreme People's Procuratorate sent a congratulatory letter to the seminar, congratulated the seminar, and looked forward to more results from the Civil Procuratorate Research Center of Southeast University. Ren Lijian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Southeast University and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, Wang Li, deputy procurator-general of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate, and Li Yusheng, deputy dean of the Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court, addressed the meeting and looked forward to the seminar on the new era of civil prosecution theory and Practice work plays a driving role. Subsequently, Ren Lijian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Southeast University and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, Wang Li, deputy procurator general of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate, Li Yusheng, vice president of the Jiangsu Higher People's Court, and Professor Li Hao of Nanjing Normal University jointly awarded the Supreme People's Procuratorate to Southeast University. The civil prosecution research base was unveiled. In order to better promote the construction of the civil prosecutorial research base, the base decided to hire Wang Li as the honorary director of the base. Professor Li Hao served as the director of the academic committee of the base, Professor Wu Yingzi served as the deputy director of the academic committee, and the army chief served as the deputy director of the base. Ren Lijian gave them a letter of appointment.
The theme of the second unit of the conference is “Study on Major Theories and Practices of Civil Prosecution in the New Era”, hosted by Vice President Dan Pingji of our institute. Professor Li Hao from the Law School of Nanjing Normal University, Director of the Army of the Civil Procuratorate of the People's Procuratorate of Jiangsu Province, and Professor Wu Yingzi of the Law School of Nanjing University gave a keynote speech. The theme of the third unit of the conference is “The docking of the theory and practice of civil prosecution”, which is presided over by Professor Yin Ji of our institute. Yan Zhongliang, deputy director of the Civil Procuratorate of Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate, Professor Chen Aiwu from Nanjing Normal University Law School, Zhang Yingzi, deputy director of Nanjing People's Procuratorate, Professor Liu Lianjun of our institute, and Shaoxing Municipal People's Procuratorate of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Zeng Yusheng, our hospital
Professor Shu Li gave a keynote speech. The theme of the fourth module of the conference is “Civil Procuratorial Practice and Theoretical Innovation”, which is presided over by Associate Professor Feng Lanqing. Wu Xiaohong, member of the Changzhou People's Procuratorate, Professor Li Chuan of our institute, director Chen Jiang of the Wuxi Municipal People's Procuratorate, director Wang Wenjuan of the Yancheng People's Procuratorate, and lecturer Yang Zhiqiong of our institute made a keynote speech. The meeting discussed the new connotation of the civil procuratorial power in the new era. In the new era of comprehensively governing the country according to law, the procuratorial power has a new connotation and extension, and the procuratorial work faces new problems and challenges. The convening of this symposium summarized the problems existing in the practice of civil procuratorial work and provided practical materials for the future research of civil procuratorial theory. It is believed that it will also provide intellectual support and theoretical support for civil procuratorial work.
The closing ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Huang Wei of our hospital. Vice President Shan Pingji made a concluding speech. Vice President Ding Pingji gave a brief review of the speeches of the guests at the seminar, and expressed gratitude to the participants for their participation and the support of the units and colleagues for the civil prosecution base. Vice President Ding Pingji said that the civil prosecution research base will strengthen cooperation with the substantive departments and other universities, and strive to contribute more outstanding theoretical results in the future!
