Recently, the Provincial Department of education has carried out mid-term inspection and final acceptance of the major research projects of philosophy and Social Sciences in Colleges and universities approved in 2017 and before, the key research projects of studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, some major projects of philosophy and social Sciences in Colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province and major projects of key research bases. After material review and expert review, Professor Liu Yanhong, director of the research center of anti-corruption and rule of law of our institute, presided over the research on the index of clean and honest with Chinese characteristics and the index of national corruption governance ability, with the project of excellent base project, Professor Wang Jinyuan presided over the project of improving the system and mechanism of anti-corruption under the rule of law in China, and Professor Li Chuan presided over the project of legislation on prevention of job-related crimes Five projects, such as the research on the difficult problems of overseas recovery under the new normal background of anti-corruption chaired by Professor Ma Rongchun and the research on soft law in corruption governance chaired by Professor Zhang Hongtao, have passed the final acceptance successfully.

Corruption is a cancer of society, endangering the healthy development of national rule of law. The research on the index of Chinese characteristics and the index of national corruption governance ability is an important embodiment of the combination of national anti-corruption strategy and scientific research institutions in Colleges and universities to carry out anti-corruption research, and to maintain social security from the perspective of rule of law and anti-corruption.           

Southeast University anti-corruption and rule of Law Research Center (hereinafter referred to as center) is a key research base of philosophy and Social Sciences in Jiangsu Universities, and also the first comprehensive official research institution with the theme of rule of law and anti-corruption, which has been committed to the improvement of national anti-corruption legislation. The successful conclusion of this project is one of the results of the research on the characteristics of the center, such as the clean and honest index. It not only shows the cohesion and innovation of the anti-corruption and rule of law research team of our institute, but also provides important theoretical and intellectual support for the national anti-corruption and Anti-corruption governance ability and the modernization of the governance system.
