In the free speech session, Professor Liu Lianjun of our college made an in-depth discussion on the different understandings of the concepts of pre-modern and post-modern in the Chinese context. He said that there are at least three understandings of these two concepts in the Chinese context: first, the reality of China's development - the vast western and central regions can be described as modern, and the regions represented by the north, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are post-modern; second, based on the epidemic situation, the understanding of the epidemic situation is postmodern, but the means of governance is modern, and some governance thinking is even pre-modern; third, it is based on intergenerational There are differences in thinking. The post-60s and 70s have modern thinking, and the post-90s and 00s have more post-modern thinking. The leading force of China's national development is still the post-50s, which requires policy makers to have constitutional thinking.
In Wuhan, a special place, Professor Liu Lianjun's speech is of great practical significance to the challenges faced by the development of law in the post epidemic era, and has won the unanimous praise of the delegates.
