From November 3 to 4, 2020, the annual meeting of Criminal Procedure Law Research Association of Jiangsu provincial law society was held in Sheraton Jiuzhou Hotel, Wujin, Changzhou. Professor Li Chuan, doctoral student Ding ziyao and master student Wang ye were invited to attend the meeting. As the vice president of the provincial Criminal Procedure Law Research Association, Professor Li Chuan was invited to comment on the topic of Research on juvenile criminal justice issues as a commenting expert, and was entrusted by the Congress to make an academic summary of the four topics of the conference at the closing ceremony of the annual meeting.

The meeting set up four topics: evidence review of difficult and complex cases, Research on electronic evidence, Research on juvenile criminal justice issues, Research on criminal procedure rules of the people's Procuratorate, etc. Professor Li Chuan commented on the spokesman's report on the topic of Research on juvenile criminal justice. He said that the publication of the amendment to the criminal law (11) (Draft for the second time) and the law on the prevention of juvenile delinquency (Revised Draft) shows that the issue of minors is a hot topic in the current society. In particular, the reform of the system of detention and rehabilitation to the system of special correction education further reflects the importance that China attaches to the healthy growth of minors. However, the procedural problems encountered in the practice of the law on the prevention of juvenile delinquency still need a more effective response from the criminal law and the criminal procedure law. Then, he compared the procedure connection between criminal justice and juvenile justice at home and abroad, and proposed to establish juvenile criminal justice procedure with Chinese characteristics. Professor Li Chuan's comments were unanimously affirmed by scholars and practical experts.

At the closing ceremony, Professor Li Chuan of Southeast University made an academic review on the four topics of the conference, comprehensively sorted out and deeply summarized the discussion situation of this annual meeting, especially summarized the judicial practice and theoretical results of some specific problems in criminal procedure work at the present stage, and showed the innovation and development of criminal procedure theory, theoretical research and justice in the legal circle of Jiangsu Province Deep integration of practice.
