On September 23, the central group of the Party Group of the Office of the Provincial Government in Beijing held a special study session on the Civil Code, and invited Associate Professor Shan Pingji, Director of the Civil Prosecution Research Base of Southeast University, Vice Dean of the School of Law and Doctoral Supervisor, to give a lecture on The Institutional Innovation and Interpretation and Application of the Civil Code. Wang Wenbin, member of the Party group and deputy director of the Office, presided over the study session. Wan Ping, a member of the party group and deputy director of the Office, all party members of the Office, all party members and managers of Jiangsu Mansion and Jiangsu Hotel, and party members and cadres of liaison offices (offices) of cities in Beijing participated in the study.

At the meeting, Shan Pingji elaborated on the contents of the seven parts of the Civil Code, key provisions, new or improved features of the system, etc. from four aspects, including the compilation history, significance, basic examples and institutional development of the Civil Code, and interpreted the relevant key and hotspot provisions with a large number of real cases. The whole lecture had a high political stance, a strong position on the rule of law, a clear theme, a clear lineage, and a strong guiding and pertinence. Participants had a further sober and profound understanding of the Civil Code in Professor Shan's humorous language, and felt that the Civil Code was closely related to their working life.

Wang Wenbin stressed that the whole office staff should further improve the political position, take the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the 20th collective study of the Politburo as a guide, fully understand the significance of the Civil Code; continue to strengthen the study and understanding of the Civil Code's spiritual essence, basic principles and specific provisions to achieve understanding and improve the ability and level of using the rule of law to promote work; to continuously strengthen the concept of the rule of law, consciously be the example of learning, promoting and abiding by and maintaining the Civil Code, to demonstrate the new practice of building a strong, rich, beautiful and high new Jiangsu resident in Beijing to bear.
