On December 11-12, 2020, Prof. Liu Yanhong was invited to Beijing to attend the Steering Committee on Teaching of Law in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education. The meeting was sponsored by the Steering Committee on Teaching of Law in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and the Law Education Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, and hosted by the Law School of Renmin University of China.

The conference was held on three themes: learning and implementing Xi Jinping's thought of rule of law, Xi Jinping's thought of rule of law and the preparation of law teaching materials, and the annual work summary of the Steering Committee of Law Teaching in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education.

Professor Liu Yanhong of our school studied the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping in depth, listened carefully to the opinions of the participating experts, and had a friendly communication with the participating experts with the characteristics of our law discipline construction and talent cultivation.

This conference pointed out the direction for the legal education in China in the new era. Through this meeting, the concept of legal education was updated, and the vision of our school running and governance was broadened, which provided a new opportunity for Professor Liu Yanhong to lead our school to promote the construction of our law discipline and talent training and further improve the level of school running and governance in the context of new liberal arts in the new era.
