On December 18, 2020, Nanjing Intermediate People's Court hired 58 law professors from universities in Nanjing as its invited experts and held a seminar on the work of invited experts. Six experts and scholars, including Professor Yang Chunfu, Professor Xiao Bing, Professor Yu Lixhen, Professor Liu Lianjun, Professor Li Chuan and Associate Professor Gao Ge, were appointed as invited experts of the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court, and Professor Yang Chunfu and Professor Li Chuan participated in the forum as representatives of the invited experts.

     Sun Daolin, Secretary of the Party Group and President of the Municipal Court, issued the appointment letters to the appointed experts and exchanged views with the expert representatives. All the leaders of the Municipal Court, municipal cadres and the heads of relevant departments attended the meeting. The experts at the meeting focused on how the court system can thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, plan the work during the 14th Five-Year Plan, further deepen the cooperation between institutions and further enhance the primacy of Nanjing's court work.

Prof. Yang Chunfu of the Nanjing Court of Justice believed that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the courts will face the dual challenges of a surge in the number of intellectual property cases and increased difficulties. Prof. Li Chuan suggested to further do a good job of explaining cases for criminal hotspot cases, to combine the basic principles of jurisprudence for rule of law education and judicial disclosure, and to further condense and summarize the rules of adjudication on the basis of listening to experts' opinions. President Sun Daolin expressed his gratitude to the two professors for their pertinent opinions, and made specific suggestions on further promoting the integration and mutual promotion between the municipal courts and the law schools of Nanjing universities.

The appointment of six professors as invited experts of Nanjing Intermediate People's Court fully reflects the strong faculty strength of Southeast Law School and its academic status in Jiangsu law school. Taking this opportunity, the School will further deepen the cooperation and talent exchange between the School and the Municipal Court, forming a new pattern of all-round, multi-disciplinary and efficient cooperation between the School and the Court, and jointly promoting the innovation of socialist rule of law theory and practice. The appointed experts will also be guided by Xi Jinping's thought on rule of law, actively engage in rule of law practice, and contribute more strength to promote the comprehensive rule of law and build a socialist rule of law state.
