On April 13, 2021 at 18:30, the 3rd Big Data and Internet Law Youth Academic Salon was successfully held in the conference room of Legal Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Southeast University College of Law. The salon was hosted by Associate Researcher Xu Minchuan, with the participation of Researcher Wang Lusheng, Deputy Director of Social Science Division (presiding), Associate Professor Ren Danli, Dr. Chang Teng Yuan and students of Judicial Big Data Base of Law School.
The moderator, Associate Researcher Xu Minchuan, firstly welcomed the participants of the salon and reviewed the first and second salons, pointing out that the purpose of the salon was to make it a platform for teachers and students of the base to exchange experiences and collide their thinking.
In the sharing and commenting session, Gong Shanzhao, a 19-year PhD student, firstly gave an academic presentation on the topic of On the Traceability Proof of Electronic Evidence. The reviewer, researcher Wang Lusheng, pointed out that the pure electronic evidence perspective is different from the electronic plus physical evidence in practice and traceability proof is rarely seen in the existing research results, and suggested strengthening the argumentation; doctoral student Ruan Chenxin put forward suggestions for improving the structure of the text, paragraph format and logical system.
Wang Shuang, a 20-year PhD student, then presented the research results of the article Research on Limited Informed Consent System for Lawful Disclosure of Personal Information Derivative Use. The reviewer, Associate Professor Ren Danli, proposed to summarize the characteristics of lawful disclosure of personal information from the perspective of rights and made suggestions such as paying attention to legal norms and judicial comparisons. Master's student Liu Yixin evaluated the importance of limiting the discussion of the informed consent system to the field of lawful disclosure of personal information in the context of existing legal regulations, and offered personal insights on the structure of the paper and its relevance to the title.
Chen Qinyao, a master's student of Class 20, shared her recently completed article The Binary Division of Big Data Killing and its Differential Regulation. Associate researcher Xu Minchuan affirmed the feasibility of the selected topic, and suggested that a clear understanding of the problem is a solid foundation for the research, and it is necessary to further condense the ripening of big data into a clear legal issue and clarify its legal disputes. Zhao Yi, a master's degree student, proposed the perfection of the article in terms of the title, the connection of the text, and the relevance of the regulation path.
Song Keying, a master's student of Class 20, shared her views on the topic of Criminal Risks and Legal Regulation of Brain-Computer Interface Technology. Dr. Chang Teng Yuan believed that brain-computer interface is an emerging technology and should be studied at this stage with more focus on the legal and ethical issues of brain-computer interface technology. Chen Xuxin, a master's student, made suggestions on paying attention to the distinction between brain-computer interface technology and strong artificial intelligence, as well as exhausting the criminal offenses involved in brain-computer interface.
During the free discussion session, the students spoke enthusiastically and had in-depth communication with the sharers and reviewers. Finally, researcher Wang Lusheng summarized the salon, pointing out that compared with the previous two salons, the speakers in this salon had improved significantly in terms of language expression and PPT production level, and the participants paid more attention to the substance of the articles; he hoped that more teachers and students would participate in the sharing and discussion of the base youth academic salon in the future, so as to create an atmosphere of attention to the frontier, rigorous and pragmatic, lively and lively, and teaching and learning.
