On the afternoon of April 29, 2021, new interdisciplinary talent training Symposium and big data and Internet law Youth Academic Salon (phase IV) were successfully held in the conference room of law big data and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Law School of Southeast University. The meeting was presided over by Associate Professor Feng Yuqing. Professor Liu Yanhong, President of the school of law, Professor Geng Xin, President of the school of computer science and engineering, researcher Wang Lusheng, deputy director of the Social Sciences Department (presiding), Professor Ouyang Benqi, Professor Xiong Zhanglin of the school of law, and teachers of the judicial big data research base team of the people's court were specially invited guests, We exchanged views with the 2018-2020 master of law of science and engineering background of our college on exploring the road of collaborative development of new arts and new engineering.

At the beginning of salon, President Liu Yanhong reviewed the instructions made by Zhou Qiang, President of the Supreme People's court, when he inspected the judicial big data research base of our college in November last year, pointing out that our college has the unique advantage of developing law + interdisciplinary; In the era of Internet and artificial intelligence, the master of law with science and engineering background should find the right position, temper themselves, and strive to become the high-quality and compound legal talents needed by the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics.

Then, visiting professor Geng Xin, Dean of the school of computer science and engineering, talked freely about his personal views on the training needs of new interdisciplinary talents. Geng pointed out that interdisciplinary has always been difficult to implement. In the past, most interdisciplinary fields were between engineering and science, and the development of engineering + liberal arts still needs to be explored. However, with the rapid development of intelligent technology, the ethical and legal issues are in urgent need of response from the liberal arts field. Therefore, the coordinated development of new liberal arts and new engineering is imperative.

Researcher Wang Lusheng, deputy director of the social science department (in charge of the work), introduced the construction of new liberal arts in domestic universities. Researcher Wang pointed out that our college started early in the interdisciplinary field. Based on the advantages of science and engineering, we have made remarkable achievements in Engineering Law, traffic law, medical law, big data and Internet law in recent years. At present, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of education has launched the pilot construction of the Key Laboratory of philosophy and Social Sciences, aiming at promoting interdisciplinary, serving the national strategy and promoting international exchanges. Our college should also integrate resources, give full play to its advantages, actively participate in the declaration, and form a number of important academic research achievements and practical innovation achievements through interdisciplinary.

Professor Xiong Zhanglin, vice president of the law school, introduced the recruitment and training of master of law with science and engineering background in our college from 2010 to now from the aspects of enrollment, source of students, specialty distribution and employment destination. As a student representative, Zhuang Yin, a master of 2020, reported the main problems and puzzles faced by students with interdisciplinary background. The students and teachers had a heated discussion and exchange on personal development orientation, thesis topic selection, academic writing, employment direction, etc. At the end of the meeting, Associate Professor Feng Yuqing made a summary and made a good prospect for the future of interdisciplinary of law school.

Liberal arts and science, interdisciplinary leading has always been the construction characteristics of Dongda law.
