From 14:00 to 17:30 on July 13, 2021, the graduation thesis defense meeting of doctoral students Zhao Huize, Li Hongjian and Rui Zhenhua from the Law School of Southeast University was successfully held in the conference room on the ninth floor of Yifu architecture hall in Sipailou campus. Professor Wang Taigao of the Law School of Nanjing University served as the chairman of the defense committee, and Professor Wang chunye of the Law School of Hohai University, Professor Meng Hongzhi, Professor Xiao Bing and associate professor Shan Pingji of the Law School of Southeast University served as members of the Defense Committee.

In this defense meeting, doctoral student Zhao Huize made a detailed report on the topic selection background, main contents and innovation of his paper Research on university charter from the perspective of administrative law. The teachers inquired about the specific embodiment of the vision of administrative law, the causes and legal nature of the University articles of association, and the judicial review of the University articles of association.

Doctoral student Li Hongjian introduced the problem consciousness of his paper Research on legal issues of arbitration judicial review, combined with his own work practice, pointed out the pain points, difficulties and blind spots in the legal practice in this field, and put forward a number of solutions. The teachers of the Defense Committee highly recognized the practical significance of the paper and proposed that more cases should be integrated into the paper to enrich the content of the paper. In addition, the teachers asked the respondent a series of questions in combination with the amendment of the Arbitration Law of the people's Republic of China and the judicial interpretation issued in recent years.

Based on many years of work experience, doctoral student Rui Zhenhua reported on the origin, significance, structure and content of his paper Research on Diversified Dispute Resolution Mechanism in Colleges and universities. The teachers questioned the dispute resolution mechanism constructed in the paper from the perspectives of scientificity, feasibility and effectiveness, and put forward fine-tuning suggestions on the structure of the paper.

Subsequently, the three respondents responded carefully and in detail to the questions raised by the teachers, and conducted in-depth discussions with the teachers on practical issues in their respective fields. Finally, Professor Wang Taigao, chairman of the defense committee, based on the defense situation and the opinions of the defense committee, announced that the three respondents had passed the defense.

This defense meeting not only has the chimerism of academic and practical, but also has the debate and debate of different views. It not only completes the test of the respondent and his thesis, but also promotes the growth of knowledge and information exchange. The teachers' questions and suggestions fully helped the respondent deepen his understanding of the research topic, and also provided specific and clear ideas for the subsequent revision and improvement of the paper. This oral defense meeting is strictly implemented in accordance with the provisions of the whole process management measures for the quality of Graduate Dissertations of the Law School of Southeast University and the working measures of the Graduate Dissertations quality steering group of the Law School of Southeast University, which is an important measure for our college to improve the quality assurance system and supervision mechanism of doctoral training.
