On the morning of August 2, 2021, the School of Law held an expanded meeting of the joint party and government meeting to deploy various tasks such as epidemic prevention and control and early start of the fall semester. The meeting was attended by members of the faculty leadership team, faculty deans and party branch secretaries. The meeting was presided over by Party Secretary Mao Huixi and was conducted in a combination of offline and Tencent conference online.

Secretary Mao Huixi firstly thanked all teachers for their active efforts and contributions to the epidemic prevention and control and the work of the college on behalf of the party and government of the college. Immediately afterwards, he introduced the background and significance of this meeting, and explained the current epidemic situation, prevention and control requirements, the school's adjustment of summer vacation arrangements and the early start of the fall semester of 2021-2022.

Subsequently, Vice President Shan Pingji, Vice President Xiong Zhanglin and Vice Secretary and Vice President Liu Qichuan conveyed the spirit and requirements of the university regarding their respective work and made detailed arrangements for the concrete implementation of our work.

Next, the participants exchanged ideas and suggestions on teachers' access to campus during the epidemic, online teaching of undergraduates, postgraduate training, management of students and summer camps, and expressed their full support for the university's decisions, cooperated with the college to complete the teaching, research and postgraduate training, and resolutely won the battle of epidemic prevention and control.

Finally, Secretary Mao Huixi put forward requirements on the current work. First, he asked all teachers to raise their political status, always keep the string of epidemic prevention and control tightly, resolutely implement the government and school regulations on epidemic prevention and control, adhere to the daily health punch card, and do a good job of protecting their own health and that of their families. Secondly, it is required that each teaching and research department should be resolutely organized to complete the teaching tasks. The one who wants to win up and down should strengthen communication with teachers, respect their opinions and solve their practical difficulties in teaching; overcome the short preparation time and the difficulties they face, make good teaching arrangements and connect teachers and students to ensure stable teaching and high quality teaching. Third, strict personnel management and campus control. Teachers, students and staff in Ning will not leave Ning unless it is necessary; students who stay on campus will not go out unless it is necessary; students leaving the campus must strictly fulfill the leave procedures. No unrelated personnel are allowed to enter the campus, and all personnel entering the campus must wear masks, take body temperature, and check health codes. All meetings, trainings and activities should be held online as much as possible to reduce offline gathering activities. Fourth, we should care about the physical and mental health of students in school, do a good job of leading their thoughts and help them solve the difficulties in learning and living; for students from difficult families who suffered from the storm disaster in Henan, we should effectively implement the financial support policies of the university; students who are currently off-campus should not return to school for the time being and participate in teaching activities in an online way; graduate student instructors should do a good job of their own mentoring students' ideological work and study and research arrangements.

The heroic nature is revealed only when the sea is crossed. Secretary Mao Huixi called on all faculty members and students to fight against the epidemic with one heart and overcome the difficulties together, to implement the epidemic prevention requirements of wearing masks, one meter line, more ventilation, long extermination, no gathering, using public chopsticks, and vaccination, and to win the final victory in the prevention and control of the new pneumonia epidemic together.
