From October 23 to 24, 2021, the Forum on Key Disciplines and Innovation Project of Criminal Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2021) was held in Beijing, hosted by the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The theme of the symposium was The Function and Position of Criminal Law in Social Governance. The conference was attended by scholars from universities and research institutes such as Ningbo University and Zhejiang University of Technology and Industry, as well as experts from the Legal Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, Alibaba Group, Ant Group and other judicial departments and famous enterprise groups.

 The conference focused on Criminal Legislation in the Perspective of Social Governance, Research on Criminal Compliance, Social Change and Criminal Law System Development, Economic Crime The conference held a two-day in-depth discussion on the key cutting-edge issues in the current social governance, such as research on the problem of economic crimes, research on the problem of information network crimes and the application of crimes after the Amendment to the Criminal Law (XI). Professor Ouyang Benqi, Associate Professor Liang Yunbao and Associate Professor Ji Yang were invited to participate in the seminar and gave a presentation in the relevant unit.

It is reported that the Forum on Key Disciplines and Innovation Projects of Criminal Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences hosted by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is held once a year, focusing on the latest issues in the theory and practice of Chinese criminal law in the new era, and dedicated to the close integration of criminal law and the national development strategy of the rule of law.
