On October 23, 2021, the 2021 Annual Conference of the Civil Law Society of the Chinese Law Society was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province for one day, hosted by the Civil Law Society of the Chinese Law Society and organized by the School of Law of Shanxi University. The format of the conference was a combination of offline and online. The theme of the conference is The Application of the Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations. The executive directors and directors of the Civil Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, experts and scholars from the civil law field and legal practice departments from all over China attended the conference, and the number of online participants reached more than 33,000. Associate Professor Shan Pingji of our school was invited to attend the conference.

The participants had a lively and in-depth discussion on the annual theme of Application of Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations. During the session, the participants focused on the theme of Application of the Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations and discussed Application of the General Provisions of the Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations, Application of the Property Rights of the Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations and Application of the Contracts of the Civil Code and Related Judicial Interpretations respectively. Application of the Civil Code, Application of the Civil Code Contracts and Related Judicial Interpretations, Application of the Civil Code Personality Rights and Related Judicial Interpretations, Application of the Civil Code Marriage and Family, Inheritance and Related Judicial Interpretations. The conference also featured twelve breakout sessions on six topics, including The Application of the Civil Code Tort Liability and Related Judicial Interpretations. This year, a special session for young people after 80s was also held to organize young civil law scholars to discuss the theme of the conference.

In the afternoon of 23rd, Associate Professor Shan Pingji delivered a report on the theme of Interpretation of Land Management Rights in the seventh session and the Post-80s Youth Session, and had an in-depth exchange with the participants, which achieved a good effect, which is conducive to the further development of civil law discipline in our school.
